The SafeHouse Habitat is the world’s only EX certified flexible, insulated, flame retardant and modular enclosure, which creates an ‘overpressurised’ environment that acts as a physical barrier between an ignition source (hot work) and a hazardous gases – H2S & Methane. It's main advantage is its ability to carry out hot work (welding) in the hazardous areas without a need of an expensive and time consuming shut down. The Safehouse Habitat is also suited to containment of work, whether it be blasting, prevention of cross-contamination or simply segregation from the outside environment. The modular construction allows the habitats to be used in hard-to-reach areas of offshore platforms, onshore production facilities and refineries. The habitats can be used on multiple projects and by adding or removing panels it can take different shapes.
