Light is a "RESOURCE" which costs money that in turn affects your bottom line and hence should be measured and used prudently. Accordingly, whether it is a "NEW CONSTRUCTION" or a "RETROFIT SITUATION" or an "INDOOR" or an "OUTDOOR" application, our "PRIMARY GOAL" is to first precisely assess your lighting needs having regard to the application's demands, any local building codes in respect of light levels and above all your desires and aspirations.

Based on this, we then select the most appropriate LED lighting fixture from a wide variety of LED light fixtures from our various principals around the world, in terms of its lighting characteristics and esthetics, which while meeting the application demands will provide you the maximum financial benefit through energy and maintenance cost savings over the life time of the light fixture by keeping your initial investment as low as possible.

Process
With a focus on providing total solution, we have tried to make the entire process of evaluating your existing lighting systems and their energy efficiency to designing and redesigning your lighting system and recommending the most suitable and cost efficient LED lighting fixtures to sourcing, supply & installation totally hassle free and involving only four steps:

Survey & evaluation
In a retrofit scenario we carry out a detailed survey of your existing lighting systems, including the type of lamps being used and electronic control gears installed, take measurements of the premises (unless the floor plans are available in a CAD or DWG format) and a general assessment of the interior of the facility, your input on the desired lighting levels together with an assessment of any application specific illumination requirements.

In the case of a new construction where lighting layout may already have been designed and types of lights specified, we will require floor plans (with electrical drawings) in CAD or DWG format along with quantities and specifications of conventional or other lighting systems recommended by your architects, interior designer or electrical contractor in order to help us develop an alternate lighting design based from our extensive rage of LED lighting fxitures.

Lighting system design
Based on the data and other information collected during survey stage and taking into consideration any application specific needs and requirements, including light levels required under any local building codes, our lighting design specialist (using the state-of-the-art lighting design software such as AGi32 & Visual 2012) will select the most appropriate lighting fixture, (from a wide range of Cree LED lighting products) and using photometric data files will prepare the lighting design document. In the absence of any guidance from local regulations on minimum recommended light levels or any input from your side, we generally use either IESNA (Illuminating Engineering Society of North America) or CIE (International Commission on Illumination) defined standards and guidelines for various lighting applications while carrying out a lighting design.


Proposal

Economic analysis
The economic analysis document provides an indication of the initial capital cost and compares the existing and projected operating costs (energy & maintenance) of your existing lighting systems and proposed LED light fixtures over the life cycle of the later, projected annual and life-time energy and maintenance cost savings. In addition, it shows key financial indicators such as Net Present Value (NPV) of your initial investment in Cree LED lighting system and projected net cash inflows from operating cost savings over the life time of Cree lighting fixture, Internal Rate of Return (IRR) on investment, and expected Payback period.

Lighting design document
The lighting design document is a visual rendering of the design environment in a 3D format which is prepared using photometric data of the lighting fixture and showing light levels (in lux/m & f/cd) on work plane and various calculation zones within the design environment such as floors, walls and ceilings. The document also contains statistical & other reports in tabular form showing quantities and specifications of the lighting luminaires used, their locations within the design space, and statistics such as average, maximum, minimum, minimum/maximum, minimum/average lux levels for each calculation zone within design environment.

Photometric data report
All of our LED luminaires are tested by independent NIST (National Institute of Standards & Technologies) USA traceable labs, using “absolute photometry” in accordance with methods and conditions laid out in IESNA Standard LM-79-08. Accordingly all LED luminaires are supported by “photometric reports” in IES format – an important requirement for any quality LED lighting fixture.

Supply & installation
In terms of installation, all indoor & outdoor products are designed for easy and tool less installation whether it is a new construction or a retrofit scenario with various mount options available to fit any situation. Detailed installation instruction documentations with electrical drawings are also provided for every light fixture to facilitate trouble free installation. In addition our lighting design document contains precise details on location of every light fixture within the design environment.
